How do I get started?
Just click on the songs above to listen to them. Then click on “Info” in the box to the left and the ClozeLine activity will open. The listen to the song until you can fill in the missing words. Afterward answer the accompanying questions and share your answers on the blog.

Why did you call it ClozeLine?
It’s a play on the word “clothes line”. haha. Also, it’s more catchy than, “Let’s do a cloze activity.” I can tell students, “Alright, let’s check the ClozeLine!”

What is a cloze activity?
A cloze activity is one where certain words are removed from a document and students are asked to fill them back in. By selectively choosing the words removed, teachers can draw attention to particular tenses or themes within the document. See this Wikipedia article for more info.
