“Long Gone Girl”, la primera canción del álbum, así abrimos el álbum, es women’s empowerment. Es una canción así para inspirar a las mujeres y a nosotras mismas también cuando estamos en el escenario.
On our Facebook page we’ve gotten more and more messages from parents sharing videos of their little girls dancing, which is great because although the little girls aren’t saying “Oh, they inspire me so much!”, just the fact that they have women up there, us up there to give them an example of being on stage and embracing our power but also that translates. It doesn’t have to be for music. If you just see women up there doing something independent and powerful, I think that’s very inspiring. And also we have gotten some letters from other artists, from other female artists that are like, “You guys really make me feel empowered to do my own thing and to continue creating.”
Y hay otras canciones que tenemos así, como “Ruiseñor”, que se trata de un pajarito que le dice a la chica: ‘Nunca dejes de cantar y nunca dejes de expresar tu voz. Deja que todo el mundo te escuche’.
