I hate the Atlanta skyline now; I have for the past year approximately, ever since that tornado came through Atlanta and blew out the windows of half of the buildings on the skyline. It was scary, don’t get me wrong. It scared me to think that these buildings were so fragile before a tornado. For some reason I thought that the engineers would have thought of that one. It’s not like tornadoes are uncommon in Georgia.
After a few months, after a few road closings, etc, most of the buildings seemed to be back to normal. But not the Westin Peachtree. It still looks like the week after the tornado. Now what I used to consider one of the coolest features of the Atlanta skyline is an eye-sore. Everytime I see it, I can’t help but think of a person that has had every other tooth in their mouth knocked out, but who still proudly smiles day after day for a year after the incident.
And I see it every morning and every evening. Could someone please fix that thing?
