I love my job

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

Tomorrow I’m heading back to work to begin final preparations for a new school year. I love that new school year feeling. Furthermore, I’m glad that I still love my job. Confucius say, “Find a job you love and you will never work a day of your life.” I won’t go that far, because I love the feeling of work when it pays off, but I do agree with the sentiment.

The kids come back Aug. 8. New teachers come in on July 31. I’m not supposed to return until Aug. 3, but I just like to get everything ready. I hope to have one blissfully productive day on Monday before all the crowds get there. Also, I’ll be able to pick up my $100 educator card and go out and buy some supplies. That’s always fun!

Four-year Anniversary!

Today is our four-year anniversary!  It’s flown by and we love each other so much still.  Happy us!

Tasty fruit in season

Friday, July 20th, 2007

PeachesBetsy and I have been eating a lot of fruit lately. There have been lots of good deals on peaches, nectarines, grapes, strawberries, and blueberries. I suppose it must be fruit season. The peaches in particular are very succulent! Surely can’t be bad for us to add some more fruit to our diet.

Helping my folks move

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

I still can’t believe that my parents are moving. I’m really happy for them. Their new place is really nice. Today Bets and I will be helping them move the last things over. Then I think they are going to grill out. It has been nice hanging out with them recently.

What I look like now

Simpson avatarToday I got my haircut.

So I thought I’d update what I look like for everyone, particularly compared to my previous post. By the way, the computer at the place said that it had been 26 weeks since my last visit. I think that’s a personal record!
