Yay! Payday at the end of the month is coming soon. Switching jobs is crazy, especially when you get paid monthly (or even bi-monthly!) We’re good, though.

Things are going well with the new job. The kids are great and I love teaching. Can’t ask for much more than that when it comes to a job. Now we’ve just got to maintain that momentum over the semester. But before thinking of that, I can’t wait until the dust settles on the beginning so that we can create a new budget, get into routines, etc. I think Bets and I are getting settled in, so that’s nice.

Well, late Friday night I got sick as a dog at about 3am in the morning. Betsy followed and our weekend pretty much turned out to be just us being sick. I usually get sick each semester right after starting back, probably a combination of stress and all the new germs to come in contact with.

The first week went so well. Bets and I celebrated by going out to El Azteca yesterday after school. Glad that the first week is over and now we can settle into a routine.

The first two days of school have gone great! I have a really nice group of kids, and I am glad that I have been able to be organized and calm. Although the days have been successful, I am still tired. I’m trying to get lots of rest each night. Once we get into the full swing of this new routine, I’ll try to get back on the slightly more regular postings.

This week has been quite stressful, but Betsy and I are very glad to have the weekend to relax, recover, and refresh. Thank you so much to all our family for supporting us through this week. We REALLY appreciate it.
